Greetings, mortals.
From the next crash or reboot, the game will keep track of what happens with
equipment, so our new equipment page will show the right information. It is
going to work this way …
There are three different parts in the equipment page for every item : the item
name, the item stats and who pops it.
The web page has a full database with all our items and stats. It do not
mean that everything will be showed right away.
The game will generate a list with every item that everyone has when they
do rent. This list will be feed also with anything that is identified and
and with anything that pops. Anything in this list will be show in the
equipment page. We are speaking here about the plain item name, nothing
else.
The game will generate a list with every item that is identified : could be
via scroll/spell or via shop. Anything in this list will show stats in
the equipment page.
The game will generate a list with every item that is poped. With an item
poped we mean that the game generate it : its not needed that a player takes
it or even that anyone notices its there. Anything in this list will show
the mob poping it in the equipment page. Note that if an item is poped for
more than one mob, all of them will be showed. Note also that random pops
will never make it into this list.
And i think it is all. During a few weeks/months, there will be odd stuff,
like items with stats and withouth saying who pop it … items saying who pop
it and withouth saying stats. Even items with only the name.
As you all are seeing, its a job of everyone to have a decent equipment list.
Mud just will assure that anything showed is right, but its a job of the players
to get those lists filled, poping stuff even if they do not need them,
identifying items of what they already know stats, etc. Its the most fair way
we have found to automatically generate info from the mud side withouth giving
everything out all the sudden.
I know my english isnt the best in the world, but i hope it is at least
understable. If you have any doubt, feel free to ask.
And done by now, need to go stab Badden some …
Best regards.
It should be noted that once the data that Isabo is providing me is available to me, i need to make the actual eqlist honour it and then it will take awhile before enough people log in / out , pop eq et al before the eqlist will be of use.
