The other day, I was visiting the town of Newbatia on the continent of
Valkyre. It was a friendly visit, and so I decided to drop in at the home
of Sir Virdo, the Mayor of Newbatia. I was quite pleased as what I had
learnt while the two of us swapped stories and drank a few pints that
evening. It appears as if the residents of Newbatia have begun to get
the itch to stake their claims elsewhere. Some say that it might be
getting a bit crowded with all the newcomers. I can’t be sure, but if
that’s the case, then where are they going? Well, I asked Sir Virdo
that very question, and you know what he told me? He said that a few
people loaded up their carts and went to stake their claim in the wooded
areas north of Newbatia. It seems as if they intend to settle down and
start farming there. The first of these people was a guy by the name of
Cletus and his wife Winnifred, the mayor said. I think I’ll go have a talk
with that couple tomorrow maybe, and see how they are doing. And if
you find yourself up that way, stop by and welcome them to the area.
That’d be a swell gesture, don’t you think?
