Why can't I mem?

I have a wa/ba/cl/mo char that can mem 6 spells no problem, but when I try to mem with my mo/cl/wa/dr char I can’t mem at all.

I have tried to mem blindness (mage 8/cleric 6) with mageone stones and other spells with both mageone and magetwo stones but I get the message - Sorry, you can’t do that.

All the spells are learned. My INT is 14. Mage stones are in inventory. I am resting.

Anyone any idea why this isn’t working?

From what I understood, neither char should be able to mem, since it only works for mages. Only guess I would have is that perhaps bards can mem.

Bard’s may memorize the spells they share with the Mage class. Your other character has no such skills. This is why.
