It’s no secret that almost all of them do it. Cleric primes who have always been cleric primes have a much different mindset on sloth than someone who has been a thief or a mage.
Valanthe - 5/5 mostly bots, heals only when she feels like it, chews you out if you heal over her, just like Charsi did.
Yinao - 4/5 doesn’t bot a lot, but doesn’t pay good attention either, stops healing when another healer joins, whether they are prime or no.
Madmax - 4/5 I love Willie, but he frequently just lets his scripts do everything. Having a cleric tell the tank to “poke him” if they need a heal is a crock of shit.
Mannu - 3/5 Affected by Madmax disease frequently.
If you wanna see a good healer, watch Brad. Daeds is right on top of shit too.

Imho.. the best clerics i’ve seen in a while used to play tanks, thieves & mages.. Not only are they used to living in harms way and know the value of a well timed heal, but also cause they have died repeated needless deaths due to healo-bots..
no lie.. the best peeps to have in your healo is Jayde, Deadalus, Giselle, & Verin. you get them to back you up.. and you’ll be just fine 8)

Interesting sort of meant this.
Clerics do pleanty. While some bot, some dont, and some are excellent. They do mostly heal and raise you when needed. Try getting quest eq as a cleric prime. HAHHAHAHA The work done never matches any of the rewards on sloth.
This discussion would be far more interesting if we listed all bots and created a top 10-20 bots of now and perhaps all time.
No doubt we have seen bots that are not clerics.
Now i will agree that ive seen clerics bot. Perhaps they are there at the keyboard but the script is doing the healing. Lyme groups in particular where im fighting with some bot to stop overhealing. No doubt have seen that. However……
Too many times bots of other classos get on my, or a clerics case, for not healing. I inform them of my 23ma left or some total like that and tell them where they can take it. I think other classos sometimes expect the cleric to never run out of mana, and cover for their own botting lazy asses while they sponge and dont heal the tank. If a cleric grouptells OUT OF MANA, or some silly notification like that, that means its your turn to heal.
For the record my first char. started him in 1994 on Sloth 2 was Endor and was a thief/mage. Immorted him, didnt play for a long time, then started Mosaix Cleric/mage on sloth 3 many years later.

Hey dont forget about us folks that have cl 3rd or 4t. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone into rapid fire cure serious mode to try and keep a CF from happening b/c of healo being exhausted or worse, afk. I think that if someones bottin, give them a few tells to get their attention, then ungroup them, recall them and let them deal with it. Or even better, I think it was Aa or Jason that suggested sendin them to Demogorgon or something just as nasty in another thread bout bots.

Different people have different experience. Its fairly well known that I like to run mostly safe. Since my groups tend to have a higher than average number of newer players I’ve basically made it a habit to make sure everyone is awake before I walk into something dangerous.
Of all the times I ran with Max, I’ve only had a handful of times he was slow to respond. Once, he physically fell asleep at the keyboard while we were finishing up a run in Fiends, not exactly a case of not paying attention. Several times he went In and stayed there for hours.
Valanthe is another I normally don’t have problems with, though she’s distracted lately. I’m sure what the exact issue is, but in my experience, it’s out of character.
The biggest issues I’ve seen with healos is the same I’ve seen with anyone else. If you give them a permanent job, they tend to get comfortable with it and pay attention. If you take them off that job they get bored and their minds wander. Healos suffer from this more than most since they tend to cycle through them in fairly short order. But I’ve had the same problem with quite a few folks. One reason I don’t like to switch up stabbers, tanks, damners, weakeners, etc.
One reason I prefer to lead actually. Its also the reason I give out special instructions in big bold letters….

I’m not saying all clerics bot.
I think most, if not all, of us have been guilty of not paying 100% attention at one point or another, due to one reason or another. But certain people have a habit of perpetually paying less than 50% attention.
I’ve been so tired of leading lately, due to clueless tanks and people who join and go afk/bot. I know there have been a few occassions lately when I was taken away from the computer for longer than anticipated and not been able to return to leave the group or whatever, it happens to all of us.
I’ve seen an alarming number of people who do not even set up bot scripts to blast, etc. All they do is stand there when fighting, and not even use their mana. Just because you don’t have frostbolt/firewind doesn’t mean you can’t blast. Funny how a lvl 40 considers themself on re-blind duty and not spend their 400+ mana in battle.
I’ve done it a couple times myself in those brainless BH chopfests. No-one was counting on me to do anything but sing gods though.

Ain’t this the truth. Last night I got wasted in a group, because I was focused on the tank’s hps and stomping the mob, and didnt notice myself getting wasted by the mob and it’s proc.
Yep, afk.. Botting, I’m gulty sorta. I’m actualy looking at the screan but… Half the time somthing bad happens is cause I see freaka somehwere and I tryed to figure what? Why? Who? Ect and its gone before I have the chance to even figure out who said anything. So anyone who groups with me. Unless the group is standing still and not talking I have no idea of what’s going on. I don’t even read the text, its impossible on this little ass screan. And the other half of the time its lag. I can’t even count how many times ill be playing and the screan will stop moving. So I just type ass someone and wait.. And ass some.. And wait, then my screan starts too move and I have gone thro.. 3 battles in the time of my screan not moving. Yep.. That’s why I ass and blast and I never target things. Every time I try.. Once again 3 battles would go thro before my cast ‘weaken’ or whatever even works wich usally leads too hitting the wrong mobs.

That’s only grouping, when I’m solo I have no probs.. Well once in a while ill loos signal completly and the mud don’t notice that I lost connection so I just keep fighting. But that’s ok, that’s why I made freakna. I tryed to make a solo person and I’m very happy with him. Once I hit av ill go back to solo again. Just need a little help on these last levels. ;-)
