how would a clan patch be for each clan. something that could be bought or made by clan member. like a merit badge but a clasp that could go on armor or sleeve or hat or cloak or suitcase. maybe you could even have crazy powers and skills added to it like an avatar light (but only powers and skills that are not cool enough for avatar lights) or maybe it could just be a CLAN PATCH!

hehe yeah that’d be kinda neat, although it should just be a ‘style’ item, not have any actual stats (remember we don’t wanna give clans any kind of ingame bonuses…)
hell, instead of clasp, just make it loaded item, already enough people run around with that slot full even though it doesn’t actually do anything :)

Should I read this that a clan clasp finger item now pops somewhere? How does such an item know what clan to be?
Do all clan related folk now have a clan logo on our finger regardless of what finger item we wear? (I thought I checked, but didn’t see it.)

Splork’s post means that clan info is added to the ‘finger’ command.
This has nothing to do with the idea of a clan clasp, or any EQ.
Some of us had already designated a second in command to oversee our clans when the leader had to be away for extended periods of time…a ‘#2’ so to speak…a clasp that the leader could give to this person, that could bestow some(but not all) of the leaders clan commands, so that they might act as ‘administrative’ leader during absences….maybe something that only the clan leader can forge, or as an alternative, specific mobs that load one particular clans claps…
now THAT would be nice, and convenient…

I wouldn’t say to have items pop and forge. That would be too had to code
I think and for an item to pop for certain clans would be a headache.
Also if these forges are “Open” to anyone, then anyone can pop the comps
and forge a Clan Clasp that he/she doesn’t really belong too.
Unless the immorts can have a forge check on what clan he/she is in and
then have the forger copy tha clan’s symbol…
I was thinking it would be based on the current clan list, and designated leader…the leader would forge it, and then give it to who he/she chooses; then that person could only junk it, not drop it/give it to someone else…based on the current clan lists, it might be easiershrug
