People wonder why I picked two good two person group characters to play…
I tried leading a group, got to a point where I went to another zone and had 3 people missing. So I spammed Jackson to get to me, and he spammed me back. I ungrouped him, Dubbs, and one other person who came back. I’m tired of people creating problems, especially if you’re only level 20. Back in the day, we ran elite groups… Sarge, Pal, Toxis, Corum, Apollo… they were elites because they paid attention, did whatever it took to be a good player, not just because of what eq thay had, or whatever levels they had obtained.
I can understand people playing multiple characters, I can understand people going afk, but don’t make it hard on leaders when there’s barely leaders around, because I’m not going to take it.
I think it’s a shame too many people have quit Sloth. I think it’s a great game. But when you give leaders headaches, they don’t want to lead anymore. So here’s the deal… if you go afk tell me, it takes 1 second to grouptell afk, or even make an alias to afk. If you have link problems, I can understand that. But I’ll probably just say no thank you, and start leading closed groups. And those in those groups will be only friends and family.
These people tell you to “stop bitching” or “what a whinner” but do you ever see them lead? Yeah, that’s what I thought. So go solo, or find some people who’ll let you bot in their group, cuz you aren’t going to be in my group.

if you’re getting frustrated brad and just want to kick back and lead some xp, do it by invite only. If you always lead open xp you will keep getting frustrated by the sponges.
I def feel your pain. The hassle of running open xp is often great. In general you’re more patient than I in that regard. I certainly don’t blame you for occasionally going ballistic and disbanding a group.

Try leading epics when players want to be in level 40s instead of their avatars. The you get to keep them healed instead of doing your regular job. Then they die every run and you can spend more mana raising them. Then in a few weeks they’re in another n00b. Or try leading Lucifer for an hour and nobody joining. Then after 5 runs and the mob is at awful, half the mud shows up….
Exactly, and it’s hard to say no to an old skool tard who wants the honor on their noob, but then you have noobs wanting to bring their noob alts. It’s hard to tell someone, sorry but you’re too much of an idiot and I don’t trust you to stay alive.

and ppl wonder why i despise epics and/or why i have quit leading or joining groups…because either (a) joiners wait till mob is awful, get kill exps (on this one, i have started glocking my groups at ph or awf when i lead), stay for 3 mobs then say “gotta go”, (b) they all want to stay out of fight and debuff the f u cking mob and not bother to heal the damn tank, (this i have seen so many times, there is no way you’re getting me to tank again) or (c) are botting so hard that they are either dying or constanly having to be babysat. to hell with all that crap. i love sloth as much as anyone, but no thanks to the headaches. i will either solo or group with a few friends who are actually at the keyboard and who will heal the tank in the first round WITHOUT waiting for a whiner or autoreporter (“why didn’t you heal me?” “i didn’t see your whiner/autoreporter. i didn’t think you were getting hit”) and pay attention to keeping the group alive and having fun, not standing there trying to blindness an acid blind mob and watch the tank die because they cannot understand “why won’t the spell blind the mob?” oh and my favorite (d) some a55hat with pets gets the kill exps. i join groups for xps or because there is a piece of eq loaded on a mob that i cannot solo. i don’t give a damn about honor….wish i had never enlisted. i love killing sashes and stuff in bh castle but they are -honor mobs with sbs and iouns on it for lowbies, so i have to choose: help a lowbie and lose honor or watch them beg for help and no one listen to them. (well, has been 6 months or more since i hit bh solo so this could have been changed but i doubt it.) bah. i am stepping off my soapbox.

Or you can shift… rest assured, there isn’t a black crappie in the epic system for shifting druids. I’ll get around to epics, but it’s last on my list, maybe when I can actually earn honor shifted. Kind of funny how druids are actually better at avoiding honor than actually getting it. But then again, some of us are undeserving… :twisted:
