This happened in Dark Dreams:
l masked
Even death has not limited this man’s greed. He walks through the streets,
looting the corpses, scooping the coins. The emanations from the man
suggest he is undead. He looks solid, not quite rotten, and must be either
a fresh zombie, or a vampire. The lower part of his face is concealed
behind a black velvet mask. He seems friendly, but too cold are those
piercing gray eyes and too sharp is that knife in his hand.
A masked marauder has quite a few wounds.
You attempt to peek at the inventory:
a small drachma token
Just so you know :)
gee, a looting mob picked something up off the ground? whoever would have thought..
I remember that scatter, and I recall at the time someone said or asked if mobs could pick up the drachma… I recall someone saying they couldn’t… would have to check logs.
Blaster once went through a lot of effort to try to make it so tokens couldn’t be looted by mobs. He’s probably one of very few who might be able to fix it if it is a bug.
The same day, the same place:

Humiliated Armor Shop
Many tables are filled with varying types of helmets, shirts, and other
armor. Some of the tabletops lean askew, but most are still intact. The
rest of the battered armor has been stacked along the walls of this room.
Some plain, homemade tapestries hang on the walls above the tables, their
coloring eaten by time. The floor is simply the hard ground sticky with
old blood, and the ceiling is made of a cheap wood.
