Is the Eqlist updating?

·414 words·2 mins

There are numerous fairly old items now that are not appearing on the eqlist, is it updating?

It is updating. New items appears from time to time. I see that when updating my eq site from dumps.

Some items are marked as hidden for the list. And mostly by mistake or some kind of bug i think.

Forges used to be hidden also before they are forged at least once. But that mechanics also broken atm as far as i see.

We discussed it with Breeze year or so ago, but it seems he has no time or attitude to look onto that trouble. So its working how its working :)

Any reason why a circlet of hellfire would not show in Lair of the Succubi?

It was flagged no_eqlist. I fixed it, i.e. removed the flag.

The reason for setting this flag is so that stuff that the eq doesn’t show up on the eqlist when the zone has just been newly opened. I much prefer that players discover the eq by popping it. The problem is that I tend not to remember to flag it all back.

I dunno when it will start appearing in the list tho, the file has to update.

…also just fixed janus mask, thin circlet, and sharpened cornstalk from same zone

there are a few broken items which when forges are exported cause the mud to crash. I fixed it on cport but it.still crashes the game once copied over. there is/was a post saying that here.

I don’t have the time/desire to go through all that data. sloth has 10k+ pozsible items.

also, the eqlist/forgelist is traditionally mortal run and updated. I started this one as mortal then immorted which is why it has as much as it does.

I gave you access to 99% of the same data I have access to.

not sure what else to say there.

So everything is correct, yes. Noone to blame, just reasons for the cause :)
