This weekend Aaron and his wife come to visit. On some odd topic we started to discuss Iran. Aaron said that he would rather believe the president of Iran Ahmadinejad over our own US leaders. I realize he said this out of total ignorance but it does not remove the fact that some people would rather be told what to do than to live free. I doubt Aaron knows that Iran openly denies the sovereignty of Israel, openly says it will destroy Israel, and also openly denies the Haulocaust. Not only that but if Aaron lived in Iran, his wife would not be able to work so that he could sit at home all day. She also would have a hard time leaving the house without being sewn up with a rag on her head. I know that Aaron is friends with Adam, who is Jewish. Does this mean that if Ahmadinejad said to kill all jews that he would fall in line. Doubtful. It is very saddening to me that Americans will openly say they hate America because of our president.
I remember when Bush was elected for the first term. Douchebags like Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn said they would move out of the country if Bush was elected. Guess what those lying pussy motherfuckers stayed right here, and continued to stay here even after Bush was elected a second term. The problem with America is that the govt, media, etc wants us to constantly fight so that they can take away all of our rights before our very eyes. They get people like Aaron believing that Americans are worthless pieces of shit and we need bigger govt to wipe our ass. All I can say is that if you do not like America you can do a few things about it.

Just to clarify, I have a friend who is a devout and educated Muslim. He explained his opinion that the restriction from pork was based on ancient observations about eating pork. For my own input, I can only stress that it’s dangerous to speak in extreme generalities. If you say “politicians should go to hell”, you run a risk of offending the people you’re trying to communicate with. Not all politicians are evil. I have family members who have ran for public office, and I have close friends who consider running when they disagree with current events. Similarly, if you dismiss or denigrate democrats or republicans or Iranians or whatever, you are painting with a very wide brush. Is there noone in Iraq who is happier since Saddam was removed from power? There were death squads in Iraq long before the US arrived, remember. Saddam was not a benevolent ruler to people outside his faction. I know for a fact that utilities there are in better condition now. A higher percentage of the population has access to electricity and clean water than before March 2003. It would be silly to think that all Iraqis hate the US.
We still station US troops in South Korea. I don’t personally agree with having US troops stationed in Iraq for the next 30 years, but that was my prediction when we invaded. I hope I’m wrong.
