since the mud game website is allowed to be a political forum blog, I stand up on my own soapbox and will post a tasty dose of reality when I can.

While having some nice platform issues. He is an old school fiscal Republican of which many have been voted out of office by the hard right-wing of the party. The current Republicans in power would never work with him, even if he did manage to win his primary. Unfortunately he is also another Republican from Texas. And im about full-up and done with those. Its another wolf in sheep clothing.

The spokeswoman for the ideals of the Republican party speaks again.

Thank you Ann Coulter for further showing what you are.

Comparing Ron Paul to George W. Bush just blatantly shows your political ignorance. Ron Paul was a libertarian for many years and even ran for president as one in 1988. You are correct he is currently a fiscal Republican. Paul joined the Republican party due to the total bias of the media during party politics. The man has the only real understanding of the Constitution. He does not want to strip your rights every day under some “guise” of liberty. Ron Paul believes in free markets, states rights, government and personal responsibility, gun rights, right to personal property(this right was lost a few years ago). This includes not going to other countries to spend 720 million dollars a day fighting a country that was no threat to our security.

If you haven’t noticed the Democrat party is notorious for making our government bigger. They believe that everything can be solved with money. Im here to say no it cannot. The best way to state it is this

“You can’t just throw money at a problem.”

Increasing federal spending only puts more burden on the decifit and the interest that it carries. We currently owe over 8 trillion dollars in national debt. Who will pay for this? Will our children starve to death while they are taxed at 70-80% just to pay past due loans? The national debt has skyrocketed since Jimmy Carter and the beginning of the Council on Foreign Relations control of our government. Our balls are in the hands of the bankers and if we do not comply they will try to destroy us and our economy. Wake the Fuck up.

Just a reminder we had a balanced budget and were paying the deficit down during Clinton - this was after Carter.

And as far as Dems making the govt bigger, the Reps had control of everything until just recently and we have more govt now than ever.

[img:17xer5ha]http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/history.gif[/img:17xer5ha]

See Bill Clinton did reduce federal spending and he did create a balanced budget. But here is the catch. The deficit did not reduce any at all. Do you have any idea what the interest on 8 trillion dollars is. You also have to think about how the money for Social Security is stolen and used to create an illusion of lower debt. The benefits must still be paid and it is almost like the govt is paying interest to itself. Don’t fool yourself Bill Clinton is also a member of the Council of Foreign Relations. He also signed executive orders removing 50% of executive oversight and he also had someone steal documents from the archives (Sandy Berger). These things together helped G W Bush to create the military state.

yes I noticed the plateau where Clinton was pres as opposed to the dramatic increase in the chart there. I’m not saying by any means he was perfect, but I do remember paying 99cents a gallon for gas, having a job, and actually getting a raise as opposed to taking the 15 percent pay cut right before I was laid off because the economy went in the shitter and corporate greed.

Forgive me for thinking those were better days.

rant on but Im done w/ this discussion as I doubt I will change anyones mind.

the system is broken and I’m not about to try and fix it, I’m too old , the machine has won. I will continue to go get edumacted so I can get a job that doesn’t depends on making anything in America.

yes, in the lower to mid-eighties when Reagan was in da house

[quote:qauy948c]having a job[/quote:qauy948c]

People, not you directly, spend more energy making excuses about not being able to find a job than actually going out and getting one. And that was under Reagan,Bush Sr.,Cliton and Dubya. I have yet to see drive into town without at least 1 Help Wanted sign in a window. Maybe it wasn’t the ideal job for whatever reason but it was a job. Which brings me to point #3

[quote:qauy948c]taking the 15 percent pay cut right before I was laid off because the economy went in the shitter and corporate greed[/quote:qauy948c]

Dude this is America, nothing stops anyone from setting up his own business if he has the mindset and heart to do so. Many men and women have said screw it with what they consider poor wages and set off on their own and made it. True alot of them have failed due to poor planning etc etc BUT how many more, went on to make it on their own terms? I can appreciate hanging on to a crappy job because you might have time invested,insurance,401k etc etc but c’mon. Life is too short. If you have the mindset that your gonna make it whether it’s working for yourself or someone else, there is NO excuse to be miserable.

In conclusion,

[quote:qauy948c]Forgive me for thinking those were better days.[/quote:qauy948c]

Forgiven, and I agree those were better days. But not because of the economy. I’d never thought myself growing up that one day I’d have to explain to my own kids why people want to kill them because of your religion. That people want to hurt you because you disagree with them. That the world now is so unsafe that you really can’t trust your neighbor and even though your kids play together, you keep an extra watchful eye out just to see who might be trying to influence/hurt your family.

I feel ya pain. If we ever meet, I’m buying the first round. 8)

no sir gas was 99 cents a gallon in the 90s and I vividly remember this because its when I bought my 2000 dodge truck w/ a 35 gal gas tank. gas was not cheap w/ the evil one in office.

I can get a job very easily but due to some circumstances and some investments I’m using this time to pursue my degree so I don’t have to ask if the customer wants fries w/ that.

Oh and come up, down, or over to my neck of Indiana and not only will I buy the first round, we can grill up something good up and relax.

p.s. this is an open invitation to any mudder (and fam) who wants to come up to see the corn.

When you are done you will realize how money is actually created and why Debt is vital to the economy. Not just in America but world wide. The more debt people get in the more money there is in the economy and there is never enough money in the pipeline to pay off the debt because the amount of money in the pipeline can’t be more than the amount of debt.

I am pretty sure this is all in an Econ 101 class if you take one but this sums it up nicely.

It should be criminal. It used to be immoral. It is neither now and the Banks win every time.

[quote:3kge9nlf]and the Banks win every time.[/quote:3kge9nlf]

you got that right buddy

Missing Nukes Theory

Nuclear warheads could not have been mistakenly flown from one military base to another due to the extensive security procedures required to transport such ordnance. I believe this incident has been used to siphon a nuclear weapon from our arsenal. I expect the nuke will be used on a sparsely-populated area of US interest and blamed on Iran in order to justify an invasion.

I probably shoulda posted this under the good time to visit china thread but what the hell..it’ll be removed by an Imm anyways

Yah, virtually all of the imms are high-ranking pentagon employees - in fact, the whole mud is a virtual testing ground for certain mind control techniques that the evil overlords are using to stop us from thinking too much (seems to have that effect on me, anyway)

Was funny to read Tap’s last post here, and then find this article in the news not 30 seconds later. I do agree the flying of nukes makes no sense pre or post 9/11. Each warhead and i think they said 6 were mounted on the outside of the plane in 2, 3 clusters of bombs. It flew from north dakota to louisiana.

Dear Broc,

The propaganda machine to start war with Iran has been turning full on for several years now. If you just now picked up on it, I’m sorry. Read this and tell me what you think.

<LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribun … _10_22.asp”>http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/WTARC/2007/me_iran_10_22.asp</LINK_TEXT>

The U.S. has been slowly chipping away at the legality of bombing Iran. Overnight our military could reduce them to 1970s. However that does not make money for the military machine so expect another long one boys. If we(the public) do not go along they will just blow up one of our own cities, then say “See I told you so.” Get Ready fo sho!!

.

I have to agree with you Mike…. As you have stated, our own government has done everything but dress someone up in a turban with a sign around their neck saying (HI! i’m from Iran and I am here to blow up your family!) It is sad that the collective of the states is to be mindless drones believing the lies pumped out by the media.

[b:cfsait98]You want to stop world terrorism? [/b:cfsait98]

Arrest George Bush…

Auto, can I have that tinfoil hat again please? :D

Will it work against an EMP? Wouldn’t matter. In theory, this would be the weapon of all weapons to minimize immediate death but think of all the suffering soon to follow should one ever go off.

Ok, groups back up and running.

Dear Mike,

I thank you for your concern mike, you once again make a blindsided attempt to throw me under the bus.

I was making a simple reference to reading tap’s post, and then reading the article on CNN. The timing of reading the 2 were interesting.

No where does my post say I dont understand the desire for the goverment to go to war with Iran, and the past attempts of that concept.

I am aware of it and have been.

Let all hope Ron Paul will step in and save the day right Mike?

Ron Paul(Republican-Texas)

China will buy the US before anyone can turn this country around. So save your time and energy and start learing mandarin.

I agree with Jason sending Bush to an international court would be a healthy start.

That’s an interesting link, thanks for posting Mahkra.

While they start off with a good introduction, I don’t think their later points are entirely supported. Into the third episode, they start building on their earlier topics to start making their case. The problem is, they still present the later information as fact when it’s not entirely supported.

As an example, they say that because the interest exceeds the principle, more debt must be created to pay the interest. That’s only true at one specific point in time. Most loans cover some period of time though. If I get a house loan, I expect to pay the interest over the next 15 years. I’m not getting a second loan to pay the interest. The interest comes from my income over those years.

It’s nice and interesting to see people arguing for finance reform, but I’d rather seem them present their stance as a stance. The way they present this as educational material, they’re misrepresenting themselves.

These are my opinions, not meant to be educational in any way.

Charles

[img:1thezz7e]http://www.xgenco.com/RHFRP/RH4RP.jpg[/img:1thezz7e]

Actually it’s not the interest that excedes the principal. it’s the fact that for $1k in real dollars a bank can cut a loan for $10k. The extra $9k didn’t exist before the loan. it’s mythical dollars, add in interest which is also mythical dollars you can never repay the toaly ammount of debt because the ammount of money available is based on how much debt there is. It could be equal if there was no interest being paid/charged but becasue there the ammount of interest paid to the original depositor is much less than what is charded to the debtor it can never be the same. The Debt will allways be larger than the pool.

The bottom line is that the money you think you have is in reality worth nothing. It’s only worth something becasue you think it is.

The banks have a win/win situation becasue they only need to come up with 1/9th of what they can lend for for and those loans are usually placed against something material so that even if a person defaults on a loan the bank gets the item that the loan was used for and they get it for a loss of 1/9th it’s value. So the whole arguments about how a bank should be able to charge interest is BS. They are taking very little risk of loss when they make a loan. Hell it’s profitable the second you sign on the dotted line.

The only risk is when the original depositors show up and want thier cash. then you get a run and it’s a bad deal; so as long as the banks/government can fake you out too keep you from showing up and demanding cash it keeps on working. If you don’t want to play in this system simply don’t borrow money. Simple.

We should all plan focussed bank runs. Once every six months the whole nation asks for their deposits back from one of the banks. That’ll show up the weakness in the fractional reserve system :)

Only one flaw in your theory. I’m no historian but maybe someone else could flesh it out. There was a time in the early 1900’s when people were mad rushing to withdraw their funds and only allowed to withdraw a certain percentage of a maximum limit. Don’t think this wouldn’t happen again and I’m suprised it hasn’t already. Myself, i’m gonna sit back and enjoy the ride.

It’s the end of the world as we know it and I’m doing fine.

UK had a bank rush only last month. Not sure what the actual issues are, but a bank that started disallowing people from withdrawing would be screwed anyway - no way in hell people will deposit any more.

I’m sure this was around the Great Depression era. People were taking guns to the banks and demanding their money. Problem was/is he who has the money makes the rules. If a bank decides NOT to give you access to your account then you are pretty much screwed. The new constitution that will/would take affect should the President ever declare martial law would automatically freeze bank accounts. You could go and beat your fist all you want. The bank manager haven been given plenty of notice and would be long gone..possible with said funds. It’s why some people use home safes etc etc.. which it in itself is kinda dumb… kinda hard to use paper money when it’s not worth the ink it’s printed with.

[quote:23xqyy1d]The bottom line is that the money you think you have is in reality worth nothing. It’s only worth something becasue you think it is.[/quote:23xqyy1d]

I agree with you there Mahkra. It’s a confidence scheme for sure. The only thing I’d disagree with is that my money isn’t worth anything based on what I think it’s worth. It’s worth what OTHER people think it’s worth. It’s only when you spend the money that it even matters what it’s worth.

Regarding the bank runs, that’s why banks now say ‘member, FDIC’. The FDIC was created in 1933 as a response to the depression. Up to $100k of your bank account is federally insured to 100%. As long as the US government is around, money in low-risk investments is, well, low-risk.

[quote:3poigg8g]As long as the US government is around[/quote:3poigg8g]

Exactly.

FBI aims for world’s largest biometrics database[/size:lecczsxm]

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The FBI is embarking on a $1 billion project to build the world’s largest computer database of biometrics to give the government more ways to identify people at home and abroad, the Washington Post reported on Friday.

The FBI has already started compiling digital images of faces, fingerprints and palm patterns in its systems, the paper said.

In January, the agency – which focuses on violations of federal law, espionage by foreigners and terrorist activities – expects to award a 10-year contract to expand the amount and kinds of biometric information it receives, it said.

At an employer’s request, the FBI will also retain the fingerprints of employees who have undergone criminal background checks, the paper said.

If successful, the system, called Next Generation Identification, will collect the biometric information in one place for identification and forensic purposes, the Post said.
