A ddos attack is not something a lone disgrunted player can set up, unless he/she is real hardass in networking/coding.
The CG residents are pretty much convinced Jezer has gotten himself lost in the NZ bush and are currently mounting a search party of their own!

Keep voting on TMC, my guess is its a player or admin from another game or a disgruntled player of ours.
We are #1 on tmc by 7 votes. Keep voting people- if this attack has been set upon us by another mud, we can at least reverse their expected effect. (Albeit, I think it is likely a disgruntled char that has too much time on their hands.)
What kind of lame person does this anyway? Grow up.

may i see info on ddos attack by email? there is many things to filter them out. Or route IP to my hardware cisco that can block them all.

I’m not sure what the issue is but there are problems connecting to the game tonight.
I’m unable to connect using my client. I tried the flash client:

It astounds me that someone with such skill and resource would waste their time attacking a free text based rpg. One would think they’d get bored and stop.
The whole behavior is like a firewall or IDS/IPS that upholds current established connections, but refuses new ones.
If something is being used, I guess wont hurt to review the filtering settings/rules or whatever.
