Hard to say, considering you’re lucky to hit more than one mob per area in an eq group. Reloc eq’s always fun.

Why was dweb changed to be so difficult? it was already a good challenging xp area. Marilith now has a dispel proc. Flayer has insane damage and death procs.
Please remove ‘dispel magic’ from the mobs’ cast list or reduce their caster level some. Or add a fat xp bonus?
Sometimes programmers fix things, because they are perceived “wrong” or not in uniform with the other parts or end goals…
The programmer works in the world of uniformity, transferability, maintainability, scalability and what he writes is often more adapted to these rules and his own perceptions than to end user specification.

Dispel Magic procs on mobs really suck!!! When did they make this change?
I know Dweb hasn’t been run for a couple of months, and with this new
“change” I can no one really want to lead. Sure spell shield will protect a
dispel, but not may ppl cast it in group.
But I never did understand the “Death Proc” on mobs. Why add this “skill”
on mobs? I can see it being done on quest mobs or even epics, but not
on exp areas. Just causes a CF.

I love Moria. Its easily one of the best areas in the game. I’ve tried taking xp groups there twice and I’ll never do it again. There’s simply too many things that will kill players. Between monsters that jump out and grab you to being randomly tossed to ceilings that kill anyone lower than level 20 as soon as you enter the room. Its just not a group environment. A group of mid avatars can tear the place up though.
Just make sure you have a good 911 on hand while you’re there. You don’t want to have to figure out how to undo a CF.

Here is where I’m at right. Apprentice is my big char, he’s a noob-atard. He’s got 5mill in the bank, no vaults and limited equipment for trade.
Having 25 str the past few weeks with Jake’s change, before he changed it back, opened my eyes to see just how much better having max str in shifts is. So #1 eq priority is shift strength. I need 3 points.
I need this come hell or highwater… So I’m cycling coins… when I get 6mill I’ll be offering 6mill, when I hit 10mill I’ll be offering 10mill… I need it, and I’ll pay whatever a person asks… within reason!
So you can tell me 20mill, and in a week or two I’ll come back to you with 20mill… Like those flaming diamond bracer forges… I don’t give up… I don’t care if I spend my money on a vault… and forge the tiger fur cloaks myself so I can wear family crests… whether it takes me 1,000 runs of the mob in tony’s temple without a spec weapon… it’s just gonna take longer… but I’m gonna do it!
I don’t care if I have to stop being a follower and learn to become a great leader, to charge through moria in a group and pop the belt myself! If that’s what it takes, so be it!

My favorite area to lead was old dweb. There were many different sized mobs and if you had good players, you could hit a big mob then several smaller sized mobs and then regen, hit a big mob and hit the rest of the smaller sized mobs… it was a lot of fun. I’d like to get a huge group and go into dweb someday, but it needs a -12 avatar tank and some avatar healers, that’s for sure… oh yeah tank stay spellshielded and do not hit mind flayer.
My favorite areas to lead are dmount and mh, I like the design of the mobs. There’s little and big group xp mobs, so if your group shrinks, you can go to another part of the area and hit smaller mobs.
My fav group for EQ is desert just cuz everyone can call a cp, if you run out there’s a few other areas on Lyme that you can call cps of different eq.
I don’t like to lead EQ, that’s because you have to gate to every mob/area and it is annoying trying to get everyone in portal.. etc…
