Seems to me that the eq list has not been updated with new information. Or maybe somethings things submitted has not yet been approved etc. Also I notice that some items that used to be on the list was taken out. I’m not sure why but I poped the item from the mob few months back.
Anyway, I was wondering if things needs to get approved. Should we add another flag to the data (“unapproved” or “rumored”) so the person managing the DB stare don’t need to work so hard to be on the toes and yet we can use inputs from other players as well. i.e. any submission will be displayed with a unapproved/rumor flag
There’s an EQ List? :shock: OMG!
There’s maybe a dozen items waiting for my approval. Several are random potions, a few are Moria cps that Mace submitted awhile back with diffferent mobs than are already listed, Nilini has been waiting for me for awhile but I haven’t gotten around to listing all the cps for it, same with Seal of Bomanz. The rest are treasure type things. There’s a few new things out there I hadn’t seen before to approve that I’ll do tonight (a few quest shop items that got missed and dowsing book).
Any item with wearable stats and spellbook poppers for books not already listed get approved as soon as I see them, assuming they’re accurate. With some things, I run around with W&G to verify the information before I mark them approved, and that can take time.
If something is missing that used to be there, then there’s a data problem that I’m not aware of, which has happened in the past so isn’t unheard of. Let me know what’s missing and I’ll add it back in.
If you submitted something and want to know where it is, ask me. I certainly don’t maintain the list like I used to, but I do still put the time in to keep things cleaned up for the most part. Sometimes I need reminded.
Blackmore has been taking pretty good care of the list, all things considered. There’s only an endless stream of equipment in the game, so keeping up at all is fairly impressive.
Since we’re talking Eq list stuff, I think I know a few longtime errors that can maybe be fixed:

There’s also Kozakura which has a lot of listed EQ that just doesn’t make sense. A lot of it is repeats of other items on the list that were readded for some unknown reason.

And lastly, I have a request, if it’s possible… Some areas have names that are short versions of other areas. BH Castle being a good example. It isn’t a big thing since it’s pretty easy to figure out which equipment is for another area, it just looks kinda sloppy when you click on the Equipment links on the map pages and you get all the extra stuff. Is there an easy fix for it?

Bal Harbor (Town) - (Bal Harbor North)

(The) Crypt - (Crypt of the Yuan-Ti)
Newbatia (Town) - (Newbatia Adventurer’s School, Newbatia Downside)
Also Newbatia Downside seems to interfere with Newbatia Downside Mines… though they seem to be the same area. Dunno.

Didn’t meant to say that BM was not doing a good job, I can’t even contribute 1% of what BM is doing. If it sounded in that way, sorry for the comment. I know the new stuff are endless. Even trying to learn it is a pain for me, thats why I was refering to the eq list quite often. I am wondering if we are getting less submission compared to last time?
Anyway the item I was refering to was dirty lunch pail I think from souffle zombie in roogna.

That’s one of the data corruption things I mentioned…I won’t get that all fixed right away, I’ve got somewhat of a deadline this friday, but I’ll clean it up this weekend or next week.
