Now, I appreciate the impulse to reduce spell impact on masterful. As Rynquald said quite nicely a while back (I think), a masterful spell can be really nicely cast and still not work.
But since this spell never ever ever used to work unless it’s cast masterfully, it’s going on the junk heap of NEVER CAST AGAIN.
I hate echoing Firebrand, but what’s the point of masterful casts now? More to the point, can’t we just have spells that have a chance of working? :) [Clarification/question: Has this spell been modified so it can work on nonmasterful casts? If not… pfft]
I’ve figured that covering the mob with acid makes no sense any more when you’re soloing. On the other hand, soloing has became easier now, you don’t have to do anything, just spam blast and go afk
