Do Suck Rooms Count Towards Exploration?

·370 words·2 mins

I am having trouble getting the City of Dis 100% explored… I have a theory that the 4 or 5 of the rooms that suck you down into the ground might be the cause… as all the room nums I have explored seem sequential… Therefore I am unlikely to be missing any rooms unless they are at either end of the number system…

My question is, does “Above the Swirling Vortex” count towards my exploration before I get sucked into the vortex area, and could that explain why I can’t fully explore the area?

Above the Swirling Vortex

The mouth of a giganti, swirling mass of dark air twists about its

center below within an immense fissure of darkness. Streams of dirt and

rock trail into the vortex as the air rushes over the sides of he nearby

ledge, streaking the air with beige and brown colors. The darkness clings

to the sides of the pit like the ink of a giant squid, gripping all that

exists above it.

Exits: East Down

The shadows surround you, dragging you into the abyss!!

The Rumbling Chaos

The whipping tail of a funnel rips through the air above the ground,

sending debris flying in all directions. Arcs of lightning pierce the sky

and thunder strikes the ground with a low rumble. The ground slopes

steeply downward, disappearing in the shadows below.

Exits: East Down

(Brilliant Red Aura) A wicked, four-armed demon scowers the abyss for victims.

(Brilliant Red Aura) An ungulated demon with horns tramples through the abyss.

(Brilliant Red Aura) A wolf-headed demon guards the entrance to the abyss.

Those rooms shouldn’t affect your exploration unless you enter that room right at the point when

the proc pulses. I did, however, notice one errant room that was approved and put in game as an

oversight in that zone. I have since removed that one room from the game as there’s nothing

there and you wouldn’t be able to reach it anyways without a very lucky teleport spell. That

room shouldn’t detract from your exploration anymore.

I’ll check some further in case there’s something unforeseen about those triggers that we

didn’t anticipate when they were implemented, however.

Thanks Neptune, that fixed it.
