I want to lobby for the destruction of attached runes from equipment.
Quest and 3x40 eq in some cases simply can not be replaced. I have heard runes can now be destroyed from 3x40 eq, but I think it’s important to be able to remove them from all equipment.
Why?
Because you haven’t even created the avatar shops, no one knows what they can buy… can we buy stats? max stats? damage? This complete lack of information may have lead to some people to attach stat runes to valuable eq which may prove to have been a silly idea. You simply haven’t given us the information to make informed choices… and that falls back on us? :evil:
Because of the concept of the rune system, and rareness of gems… gems are only really socketed to the best eq… and the best eq is often the hardest to get.
There is no gain to a player by allowing the destruction of a attached rune, allowing eq to return to it’s original state.
The destruction of the rune on eq could be done by a jeweller for a modest price.
People are carrying runes unsure about attaching them because they don’t know what the heck is going on. I’m doing the same thing at the moment. So you have this good thing, but we are scared to use it, it’s counter productive.
Eq gets added in the game, we reroll our stats, things change, we need to be able to destroy runes to keep up.
It’s seems common sense to me… so can you just do it?
Runes were not meant to be detached.
That was clear from the beginning.
However, we decided to allow the desocket of runes from 3x40 and drachma eq
(atm i am probably the only one who is actively doing it)
as for destroy/desocket proc, Isabo is coding a jeweler proc that can do just that, but she needs to finish a few things
before it goes in game and I am sure she will announce it whenever it is completed.
In the mean time, if you want a rune destroyed from non 3x40/drachma eq, feel free to contact me.

For all those who wanted to desocket… go write a post in the “talk of exp and 8x40” thread instead. Now that’s a real issue…

you wanted to be able to destroy runes from non 3x40 eq so
i said i would do it, and now you decide you want something else
that is exactly why I didn’t post about desocket from 3x40/drachma eq earlier
