debuff question

·337 words·2 mins

Is it now harder to land debuffs than it was say a year ago? I’ve been playing Marge a bit lately and I noticed she lands her debuffs so infrequently that they weren’t of any value.

I was in dragonmount and I didn’t land a single weaken the whole time we were running it. Do dragons have better saves? or innate prot from evil or something? Or do you just have to be attuned necro to land debuffs anymore? I’m actually thinking of changing marge to necromancy attunement if that’s the case.

Thanks

We didn’t change anything related to that as far as I know.

I was working in a 2-man eq group yesterday and got several weakens pretty easily. Remember to damn first, but I didn’t get the feeling that anything has changed. Maybe you’re just on a string of bad luck.

Well we didn’t have a damner, Damn is +2 to spellsaves and curse +1?

Anyone other than thief primes manage to get a triple stab in lately (excruciating blow)? Maybe just a long run of bad luck for me, but I haven’t had a successful excruciating blow for weeks (LOL that sounds suspect), and lots of wiffs on the standard double stabs too (fail either one or both stabs) - I stab at +21dam +14hit. Just wondered if there’d been any tweaking to it in recent weeks..

Just my general perception, but my necro who is attuned to necromancy usually gets a weaken in on 2-3 tries. On occasion it takes longer though, and I noticed with my other character that can weaken that it often does take a lot longer, one mob last night I must have tried 15 times with no luck, by then the mob was pretty hurt so whats the point.

For weasel, remember triple stab is group dependant. I hit them outside of a group but it is rare with Rodek, even with a thief prime char its fairly rate soloing.

Thanks Rodek - that explains a lot. Cheers.
