I need to find a way at school to get passed this… The school has set something that disconnects telnet and all other mud clients after 1 or 2 minutes and then I have to relogin and It is irritating and I want to find a way around it on mac or windows either would be helpful thank you for your help..

Wow, that sucks, what a bunch of fascists! Talk to your web person at school, see if they will disable that thing that sounds like its been in existence since the early 90’s!
Also don’t know what kind of school you are at, but if it helps you can always lie and say you can’t sign up for college courses because you can’t acces telnet (if in college, see last post). I find that to have worked well for me when I was in Highschool. As many small Universities still use telnet to sign up for class schedules.
