Okay so basically here’s how it’s been.
Poolp has just been wiped because he was ‘believed to be multiplaying’. Okay Clink, it was a lowbie, I can let that go.
Demi was wiped for apparently pushing Blaze into jail. (No investigation was made, after I stated that I did, I was wiped)
And now Blaze has been wiped. Apparently for being me.
Okay I’m not here to wait for idiots to tell me I deserve this because true as that may be, I think it is really unfair.
The purpose of this post is to lodge a report that an immort has been abusing his/her power as an immort by making no investigation whatsoever about any of this, and wiping Demi and Blaze (which so happens to be a character someone lent to me and will be very pissed at me soon enough) :).
Alright so all I’m trying to say is if an immort has the power to pwipe a person and his/her other chars for pthieving from that immort’s character, I think it really is abuse of power. I’m not looking for trouble, just wanna get my chars back and see if anything can be done about this. Otherwise, I’ve had a fantastic time here back at Sloth, and I’ll see you again probably in a few years when I’m ready to pthief with my avatar.

I really could care less, I have lost nothing of importance to a pthief. And that was not a bug about leaving jail through dying. He was already dead and the sash leader brought him to conciousness while dragging him to jail. And multiplaying for anyone is against rules, noted as before i have caught him multiplaying numerous times.
As for losing a char he was lent, I hope whoever lent him the char does get really pissed off, although I suppose if you are silly enough to lend a char to pthief it’s your own fault..

Admit you broke the rules and acuse immortals of abusing their “power” by administering the punishment due.
Make other unsubstantiated claims of misues of “power”.

-Actually I didn’t even know throwing someone into jail would be an offence. By the way I think I didn’t explain myself properly. Blaze (I think) is the character I pushed into jail when he was throwing daggers at me when the original owner of the char was using him. About a week later he asked me if I’d be interested to use it to continue pthieving. It was only then I started using him to pthief and since others have seen both of us on before, I tried to blow people off course. I was hoping some other people have seen Blaze and Demi on at the same time before back when 2 separate people were playing him. Now just because of something I said, I was instantly assume to be mulitplaying and I got wiped? Does that mean if anyone says they’ve multiplayed they will be wiped? Don’t immorts have to go through a log or at least speak to other immorts before carrying out such a harsh punishment?
-I understand it is a burden but are there really no limitations to it? Have I no power to report something just because its a tough job?
-I just wish for this matter to be brought to the attention of the people and immortals of Sloth. Hopefully someone would be able to do something to help me out.

Long have I lobbied to make Pth a wipeable offense. It seems like a reasonable penatly to me. You swipe a piece of EQ, you get wiped. I believe that would be fair.

I waited till the 4th tick when he finally logged me in. My connection was terminated, so I proceeded to use another char to loot the corpse as soon as Poolp corpsed. Pthiefing is, and always has been, a very tricky business. Mostly because what is considered ’legal’ pthieving is pretty debatable. As far as the penalty, there’s always been a huge penalty. With the glitches in jail and such, the penalties have been considerably less than they should have been even. As for the max penalty… well, you’re not banned yet. Help corpse will give you this much though:
It is legal to take equipment from another player’s corpse if you
are helping him to recover it with his knowledge and agreement.

Ok, I’ve been sitting on this info for a while, and I wasn’t going to use it…
From what I understand, Poolp used to share a connection with about 3 other players. So, it’s very likely that the people in this list have absolutely nothing to do with Poolp other than being roommates or something… The reason I post it is for 2 reasons:
One of the chars that was wiped was ‘borrowed’.
He’s claimed that he’s going to come back with a Lyme pthief and several people have asked who that could be.
So, most of you are aware there was a list of connections leaked a while back. This is an OLD list. However, from what I’ve seen, Poolp doesn’t seem to be using many new characters. I am also omitting IP info and such. The file I have says: Updated: 04.02.2005, 22:31

I told you quite some time ago that this information is available and public. Since you’re taking risks with other folks stuff, I don’t see why I should continue to be cautious. How that ultimately ends up affecting things is one of the risks you assumed when you started.
i may be wrong, but demi/blaze probably got wiped for some client abuse…not exactly sure what’s been happening with clients, but been hearing about it on public channels lately.
even though the admin’s stance is that they do not endorse any clients (tho some of them probably work on/with wintin) they will not hesitate to publish anyone who abuses them ( i should know…heee )

Poolp was speaking of dropping his link. The main difference being, while he was dead, whatever it was that he had was fairly safe. Once he corpsed, he could be looted. Instead of legally quitting, logging back on, running to his corpse and looting it, he decided that would take too long and tried something else.
He dropped link, and had someone else log in as him. He then logged on another char and ran to where he was dead. His friend quit for him, and he looted the corpse. The legal method would have been to have his friend log on the other char, run to his corpse and then loot it when he died. Either way, it’s assisting a pthief. If it was Derro… not such a big deal. However, Derro is pretty competent and it sounds like Poolp did this because he would be better at it.
Either way, he had 2 of his chars on since the first didn’t log off until the second had logged on.

In addition to which this IS explictly allowed in the rules, as it explicitly states you can use on of your chars to do a CR for another. If you quit! you have died, it says “You die before your time”. You run all thr risks of wiating out your death, XP loss, level loss, lotting by mobs, and in the case of a pthief people lotting their EQ back.
