Is this a random glitch or no? If no can someone tell me what caused it?

It was designed that way
The box isn’t a container in the traditional sense. That’s why you couldn’t refill it. You can drink from it for a few days but it eventually runs dry and then poofs.
It had nothing to do with being in the coliseum.
