this is how i do it for my client.

relies on the MXP detected message from the mud but you can change that.
make sure msdp is enabled in mudlet 3.0
usage example:
echo(msdp.CONTINENT)
or
lua echo(msdp.CONTINENT)
from the commandline
it makes a decent place to start building your own custom scripts.
